A source is a feed you want to follow — an RSS feed from a publication, a section, a topic, a competitor. You add the sources you trust to a desk, and group desks under each site. A desk is just a beat: “Sports,” “Local news,” “Product updates.”
Byline checks your sources around the clock and notices the moment something new is published. You never refresh a feed or copy a link — it’s watching so you don’t have to.
Rewrite
Every story is rewritten in your voice — original copy, never copied.
When a new item appears, Byline writes an original article from it: the same facts, fresh structure and wording. Nothing is pasted from the source.
You set the rules per desk — the voice, the style guide, the length range, and any house instructions. One desk can read like a wire service; another like a warm explainer. The facts carry over; the words are yours.
Deliver
Finished drafts land in your WordPress, ready to publish — or live automatically.
Byline connects to your site over the standard WordPress REST API using an application password — there’s no plugin to install. Finished pieces are posted straight into your site.
Each desk decides how stories arrive: as a draft you review in your queue and publish when you’re ready, or auto-published so they go live on their own. Mix and match across desks however you run your operation.
